Super Smoothies: Liquid Adderall
We all suffer from brain fog sometimes, I certainly do. On the days that I'm feeling a bit under the weather and can't seem to sit still and work productively, I blend up this smoothie and get to work. Hosting a variety of natural herbs and adaptogens to clear our mind and focus on the task ahead, this smoothie recipe is better (and much, much healthier) than any study drug.
This super smoothie is made up of all crucial ingredients for potency, taste and texture. The three key ingredients are:
Matcha - Matcha, doesn't need much of an explanation. I changed over to matcha a few months back from coffee and have never looked back. A caffeine hit without the "after-coffee-crash". It contains l-theanine in it with assists the body with its energy hit while maintaining stress levels - something that coffee can sometimes spike.
Brahmi - Brahmi is an Ayurvedic super herb that has shown to enhance brain development and improve our concentration levels and attention span. It contains bacoside, a natural compound, that has shown to improve brain health and assist in the transmission of messages from the brain to other parts of the body.
Rhodiola Rosea - Rhodiola has been used in different cultures for centuries. The Vikings used it to increase strength and stamina while in Russia, it has been used to assist with fatigue, increasing attention span and improving memory.
Makes one smoothie
Ready in 5 minutes
Ingredients:
One teaspoon organic matcha
1/2 organic banana
A small handful of organic blueberries
One teaspoon organic bush honey
1/2 teaspoon organic Brahmi
A few sprigs of organic mint
One organic pitted date
One cup organic almond milk
A pinch of salt
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon Rhodiola Powder
Directions:
Blend all ingredients together in a nutribullet until smooth. Water or more mylk can be added to create a different consistency if preferred.
